Adriana Rodriguez, LPC, NCC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. I am Latina and was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
Since graduating, I have worked in centers for domestic and sexual violence, community mental health, and eating disorder treatment (IOP/PHP).
Because I believe that a client’s self-awareness is key to developing self-direction and independence, my counseling practice is guided by Humanistic Existential Therapy. Additionally, I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating approach for those struggling with body image concerns and eating disorders.
My approach will provide you with methods to solve problems by identifying and utilizing your own strengths through empathy and authenticity. All discussion, reflection, goal setting and safety planning are done collaboratively and with your strengths in mind.
I believe that the therapeutic process should be collaborative and that it can impact my client’s ability to grow, heal, and reach their full potential.
